Requesting Data from Franchises
Updated yesterday

The Altruistiq Value Chain Engagement module allows you to gather corporate footprinting data from your Franchises in order to meet GHG Protocol Scope 3 Category 14 reporting requirements.

Setting up Franchises

In order to start requesting data from Franchises, you first need to set them up in the application. In order to do this, navigate to the Franchises page in the Engage Partners section. To add a Franchise, you will need:

  • Name of the Franchisee (the internal name you use to refer to it)

  • Legal name of the company that represents the Franchisee

  • Country where the Franchisee operates

  • Email address of the Franchisee (who will receive data requests)

  • First active date (the date from which the Franchisee operates)

Make sure to add the Franchise in the correct Business unit. Grouping Franchises into Business Units will help with analysing the received data and creating estimations for non-responding Franchises.

Sending Data Requests

After you hvae set up your Franchises, you will be ready to send data requests to them. After clicking the Request Data button, you will have to decide your data collection preferences:

  • Preferred time period: the reporting period (calendar or financial year depending on your organisation settings) that you will request data for

  • GHG Scope: whether you want Scope 1+2 emissions only, or Scope 1+2+3 emissions from you Franchises (if you are not sure, an Environmental Accountant can help you)

  • Personal message: the message that will be shared along with your request to Franchises

Then you need to select the Franchises you want to request data from. The selected Franchises will then either

  • receive a data request in the Altrustiq app if they have already signed up

  • or receive an email that allows them to sign up to the platform and complete the data request.

Once Franchises submit their corporate footprints, you will be able to see the results in the Analyse Results tab of the Data Requests page.
