Before you start
Note the following details:
Which data source and file shows incorrect data
What type of input has the mismatch (fuel, electricity, waste, etc.)
Numbers are lower than expected
Check facility operational dates
Your data might appear lower because we only display data for periods when facilities were operational.
To check facility dates:
Go to Manage Data > Facility Structure
Click Edit on the relevant facility
Review the facility open dates
Click Historical Entries to see if dates have been changed previously
Check facility ownership and control settings
If data was assigned to a parent facility without full operational control, we allocate input data proportionally based on facility capacity (e.g., if the facility area takes up 10% of the parent facility, we will allocate 10% of input data).
Review your facility structure to ensure it reflects actual operational control.
Data is completely missing
Check file publication status
Missing data often occurs because the file hasn't been published or integrated yet.
To check file status:
Navigate to your data source
Look for the file status - it should show Live
If the status isn't Live, the data won't appear in Explore Data
